Frequently Asked Questions
What is the AMC Entropy™️ Disc Pack?
The AMC Entropy™️ Disc Pack lets you create console-quality, ready-to-burn physical discs and cases for your PC games. Customize and order online then wait for it in the mail. We print the disc, you burn the game.
Do AMC Entropy™️ Discs come with game files included?
No, our discs do not come with any game files. You'll need to source your own installation files to burn onto the disc. We recommend purchasing your games from platforms that allow you to download installer files for backup purposes, such as GOG (gog.com) or itch.io, which both provide DRM-free downloads you can use to create your physical disc.
What do I need to burn my disc?
Other than a computer and game files, you'll need a compatible external or internal disc burner. We offer external disc burner bundle options to make the process easy.
We’ll also post a list of recommended drives that are compatible with all AMC Entropy™️ Discs.
Do I need to provide my own artwork?
Yes, users provide their own artwork files as we can’t legally provide you with that. We handle the printing of the disc and case to your specifications.
Our online platform will be made available for all Kickstarter campaign backers. This is where you can easily customize and order AMC Entropy™️ Disc Packs.
Do I need to know how to burn a disc?
No, we’ll provide easy-to-follow tutorials covering the entire process, especially for people who have never burned a disc before. Our guides will walk you through each step from start to finish.
What if the burning fails?
If burning fails, we will replace your disc for free.
When will AMC Entropy™️ Disc Pack launch?
We're coming soon to Kickstarter! Sign up at amcentropy.com and follow @AmcEntropy on X to stay up to date on our launch date.
Will I be able to order discs after the Kickstarter?
Depending on the success of our Kickstarter campaign, we hope to launch a permanent platform where you can order new Disc Packs anytime.
Where do you ship?
Right now, we can confirm shipping within the United States. We’re considering expanding to other regions and will share updates as additional shipping destinations become available.
How much will the AMC Entropy™️ Disc Pack cost?
We have yet to decide on final pricing. Stay tuned, and follow us on X @AmcEntropy and sign up at amcentropy.com to be the first to know when pricing is announced.
What formats and disc types are supported?
We are planning to support both small and large file sizes by using a variety of formats and storage capacities. Follow us on X @amcentropy to be the first to know when formats are announced.
